Partnering with Harvest International, an Ocala, FL based mission organization, David led teams to the Pierre Payen, Haiti area in 2010 and 2011. They worked on three orphanage compounds making repairs, building storage cabinets, shelving and shelters to improve the facilities. There was also time for the team members to interact with the children at the homes. Attending worship services with local congregations gave the team chances to further absorb the Haitian culture.
In 2012, Shiloh Children’s Home, an orphanage for children with cerebral palsy operated by Harvest International moved from Bon Repos, to Carabal near Hinche on Haiti’s Central Plateau. Each year, 2012 – 2014, David has led a team to help with the construction of the orphanage facility.
