David made his first trip to Nigeria in March 1991. He was part of a team conducting a leadership conference in the city of Jos in Plateau State. That conference, the Nigeria Pastors and Ministers Conference (P&M), has been an annual event since 1989. The annual attendance ranges from 600 -1600. Attendees come from across the country and other neighboring countries. During the 1991 visit he received his call to full-time missions ministry.

The leadership conference format has proven to be an effective means of training in Nigeria, where many feel called to ministry but few have extensive formal training. In addition to the P&M Conference in Jos, David has conducted regional conferences over the years in Bauchi, Bokkos, Bukuru, Calabar, Jalingo, Keffi, Lafia and Nsukka.

David returned to Jos in the fall of 1991 to teach for a month in the International College Of Ministries (ICOM). He has taught at ICOM several times over the years following. One of the students in that first year of ministry at ICOM was Ejiofor Obiorah, who has since started his own school, Springfield Bible Training Centre (SBTC). Net Work Limited has partnered with SBTC since its inception in the year 2000, with David ministering at their conventions and graduations and teaching in their School of Ministry. To date there are over 110 licensed or ordained graduates of SBTC ministering across West Africa.
